UNITY : – Doing things together
- National symbol
- Good relationship
UNITY
- Doing Things Together : The challenge ahead is to diversify Rwanda’s economic base, to fight poverty, to create a highly skilled and productive workforce that will drive Rwanda towards industrialization and development in the years to come. All these are included in the VISION 2020 as objectives it assigned itself.
- National symbol : As our National symbol reads Unity –work-patriotism we must work together with one spirit to uplift our country and above picture show us the power of unity all people are the same that`s why we call upon all people to work together as our National symbol says it`s like our direction us people of Rwanda we must follow .
- Good relationship : Relationships are essential if we want to live your life to the fullest. In fact, relationships should be our top priority. That’s why we all need to learn how to build good relationships. Good relationships not only help us meet our needs b
ut also make our life more fulfilling.

Let me share with you what I have called seven characteristics of relationship ;
- 1. Both sides see the relationship as an opportunity to give :
One of the basic relationship problems is selfishness. How does selfishness occur? In my opinion, selfishness occurs when someone focuses more on getting rather than giving. The more someone focuses on getting, the more selfish he or she becomes. That’s why the willingness to give is essential for good relationships. Both parties should see the relationship as an opportunity to give.
- 2. Both sides are willing to change :
Nobody is perfect but everyone can grow. In a good relationship, both sides are willing to change. They realize that they are not perfect and there is still a lot of room for improvement. Instead of blaming their partner when something goes wrong, they look inside to see if there is something they can change. When both sides have this attitude, the relationship grows stronger and stronger
- 3. Both sides are willing to admit mistakes :
In a good relationship, both parties aren’t afraid to admit mistakes. Instead of being defensive, they openly admit the mistakes they make. They can then work together to correct the mistakes. This, of course, is not easy to do. It takes a humble heart to admit mistakes.
4 Both sides are willing to listen first :
In a good relationship, both sides are good listeners. They are willing to understand their partner’s position first before trying to get understood. Doing this is much easier when both sides see the relationship as an opportunity to give.
5 Both sides support each other :
Not only are both sides willing to listen, but also they give what their partner needs. The law of reciprocity states that when we do good to others they will also do good to us. We reap what we sow. By supporting each other, both sides in the relationship get what they need.
6. Both sides are open to each other :
Misunderstanding is one of the basic relationship problems. That’s why it’s essential that both sides are open to each other. When they have something they don’t like about their partner, they should communicate it rather than just keeping it in their heart. Of course, they should do so in a respectful way so as not to offend their partner. Part four of How to Win Friends and Influence People (which I review last week) gives us tips on how to do that.
7. Both sides have integrity :
In a good relationship, both parties act in line with what they think and say. They keep their promises. This is important because they can then trust each other. This trust makes the relationship strong.
Looking at the above points, here are what you should do:
- See the relationship as an opportunity to give
- Be willing to change
- Be willing to admit your mistakes
- Listen first
- Support your partner
- Be open to your partner
- Have integrity

WHY Xo LAPTOPS IS IMPORTANT FOR KIDS ?
The reason why education is important for kids is due to the fact that they must have a high school diploma to enter college and prepare for a future career. Without focusing on education, you will find that your career choices are limited. The best way to reach career success is to map out a strategy and set goals. You should focus on things that you like, including hobbies, talents, and interests and determine a career goal. Once you have an idea of what you would like to do, you will need to create a plan or strategy to reach those goals. Without the proper education, our kids will never accomplish their career goals.
When trying to explain why Xo laptops is important for teenagers, you might feel as if you are speaking to a brick wall. However, when teenagers fail to focus on their education, they will encounter future career difficulties in life. The best way to ensure teenagers will understand the importance of education is to continually explain why education is important, beginning in their early years. By raising children in an atmosphere that places a heavy emphasis on education, children will understand that it is an important tool used for reaching their goals.
Another reason why Xo laptop is important is due to the possibility of a career change later in life. For those who don’t hold a high school diploma or ged, the options for a career change are often limited. However, if you hold a degree, you’ll find that since a degree covers a broad spectrum, you’ll have more ease when switching careers. Essentially, the degree that you hold is a key to opening career doors. When it’s time to switch careers, the doors will not be locked to you, simply because you hold a degree. The higher or the more advanced the degree, the more doors that will open to you in life.

OLPC news !
Kagugu Primary School:
This is known as the best public school in Rwanda. The school is located in Kigali and has a total of 3020 laptops and 3242 students (P1 students share laptops), and 47 teachers. The school has Internet access. Students do not currently take their laptops home. Julia Reynolds of the OLPC Learning Team, Epimaque TWAGIRIMANA Leader of the Rwanda Core Team, Core Team technical members Basil IRENE MASEVELIO, John-Marie NYIRINKWAYA, and 30 OLPCorps members conducted the training at Kagugu. Both days were focused on teachers.
So all 47 teachers could participate, they were arranged into 3 different groups, each with 2-hour training sessions. The first day, teachers were introduced to Scratch. It was their first time using Scratch because the laptops were just recently reflashed to a newer software build. After a basic introduction, teachers were asked to take a picture of any object or scenery in the school yard, and import this picture into Scratch and tell a story about the picture. The teachers, with the assistance of OLPCorps members, used sound, images and animation to tell their stories. At the end of the session, teachers shared their work with the larger group to supportive applause.
The second day, teachers sat with OLPCorps members in smaller groups and explored ways they could use the XO in the classroom. Both OLPCorps members and teachers were fantastic. Together, they explored ways to use Turtle Art, Memorize and Scratch for lessons. One teacher, who had not previously used the laptop in his class, decided he wanted to start right away and grabbed some OLPCorps members to assist him in his classroom.
Later in the day, the entire group had a chance to see a teacher, Simon, using the laptops in his classroom. After learning about Silvia’s work in Rwamagana, he asked the class to take a picture of an object in the school yard, import the picture into Write, and write the name of the image in English. The students seemed to thoroughly enjoy this exercise and by the end of the 1 hour and 30 minute class, all students were able to import their picture to Write and add text in English.
